Breakfast/Business Meeting

When: Friday 07/27/2018 at 8 am-12pm

We will be discussing where we've been, where we are and where we would like to go as a group in the future.
City Tour (Free Time)

When: Friday 7/27/18 at 12 pm - 5 pm

  • Private Charter Tours   would pick us up at our location at our preferred time (pending availability), provide us with the tour and then return the group back to the starting location. We would have the trolley exclusively for our group and could have up to 38 total people on board, including children. These Charters are priced as a flat rate per trolley (including approx. 1hour total riding time into town and back to your location) and are based on pick up within Cuyahoga County. Additional time for shopping, meals or stops is available at $130.00 per hour including tax and gratuity.        1 Hr. Tour – $650.00 including tax and driver gratuity
2 1/2 Hr. Tour – $895.00 including tax and driver gratuity. This one would require a sign up and would end up costing $17.10 per seat for the 1 hour tour and $23.55 per seat for the 2 hour tour.
  • Regularly scheduled public tours   for this option, we would have to go to their station at The Powerhouse on the West Bank of The Flats and take one of their public tours at its regularly scheduled time. With a group of 25 or more people, the driver gratuity is included in the published public tour price and certain age restrictions apply for children. We would be responsible for getting to the station and for parking fees (motor-coaches may park for free at the Powerhouse). Public parking at the Powerhouse complex is very reasonable. This tour can be done indivually.

HPMC Family Dinner

When: Friday 07/27/2018 at 6 pm-12 am
Where: Hotel (Room TBD)

The actual program has yet to be determined. At the Boston reunion, James Rogers presented the history of the McBride branch of the family. Recently, Cecil Jeff Perkins has been pouring over the Perkins branch of the family. Harold has been pouring over old VHS videos of the reunions from the past. All of these pieces are slowing coming together to form what I know will turn into a wonderful program celebrating this 50th year of the HPMC Family Reunion.
HPMC Family Picnic

When: Saturday 28, 2018 at 10:30 am-6:00 pm
Where: Pioneer Pavilion
Pioneer Pavilion, one of the oldest structures in Youngstown, is a
rare surviving example of early nineteenth-century industry.                                                                                 James Heaton constructed this sandstone building in 1821 as a mill for carding and fulling wool.
A millrace from Mill Creek and a waterwheel on the west side supplied the power.

We will also be celebrating what would have been the 90th wedding anniversary of Mary Howard and Thornton Perkins Sr., the catalyst to what has become the HPMC Family Reunion. So, please, if you can, join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion.
